You can find us in Gandhi Nagar, right near the Amul Dairy. That’s usually how we tell people where we are located. The smell of the dairy is something you get used to after a few days of working here. It’s a busy part of Gandhi Nagar, especially in the mornings when the deliveries are happening. The hospital itself is a straightforward building. We don’t have much in the way of decoration, just the necessary stuff for a medical place. The waiting room has some old magazines and a water cooler that makes a loud noise every time someone uses it. We try to keep the place tidy, but with so many people coming in and out, the floors need a lot of sweeping. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we all know each other's habits. It’s not a corporate environment; it’s more like a group of people just getting through the day's tasks. Sometimes the parking outside is a total nightmare because the street is so narrow. We just deal with it. It’s a practical place for the local community. We don't spend money on fancy renovations; we just focus on the patients who walk in. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we keep the fans on full blast all day. It’s just us doing our jobs in this corner of the city. We leave the doors open for air.
