Kamal Dogra Foundation

Kamal Dogra Foundation is located over in Narol. We have several units, from 302 to 305, plus some others on different floors in the Sukh Amrut Complex. It is right opposite the Old Court on the National Highway 8 road. Because we are near the highway, it is always very noisy with trucks and cars passing by at all hours. The 380038 area of Ahmedabad is quite industrial and busy. Our office is a bit of a maze since we have those different rooms spread out. We spend our days going between the units to check on different things. It is not a very pretty office. The walls could use a bit of paint and the furniture is mostly second-hand stuff we found. But it works for us. We handle a lot of paperwork and meet with people who are traveling through or living in the Narol area. We do not have a mission statement hanging on the wall. We just have a lot of to-do lists on scraps of paper. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and wait for it to come back on. It is just how things go here. We have a small kettle for making tea for guests. Most of the people we help are just regular workers from the nearby factories. We try to be useful in a very practical way without any fuss.
