Janta Machine Tools

Our place is over at 33, right across from Madhav Mangal. If you know the Old Manik Chowk Mill area, you probably know where we are. We're also pretty close to the Idgah Police Chowki, which is a good landmark if you're getting lost. Janta Machine Tools has been around for a bit. We spend our days surrounded by heavy stuff and metal parts. It's not a shiny showroom by any means. It's a workspace where we keep the machines people need for their shops and factories. Sometimes the traffic near the police station gets backed up, but we're used to the noise. We keep the doors open and just get on with the work. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming here for years. They know we aren't about the frills. We just have the tools sitting there on the floor or the shelves. If you're looking for something specific for a mill or a workshop, we usually have a version of it somewhere in the back. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit a lot of inventory in. Sometimes we have to move three things just to show you one, but that’s just the way it goes. We don't mind. It's a steady life here at Manik Chowk Mill. We just focus on the machines and making sure people get what they came for. There isn't any fancy coffee or a lounge, just iron and oil.
