Jaliyan Snacks India Limited

Our setup is located in Odhav, right inside the Sanjiv Industrial Compound at number 275. It is situated right across from Murlidhar Society, which makes it easy for the delivery drivers to find us. Ahmedabad is a very hot place to work, especially when you are in an industrial zone like this one with all the concrete and metal. We make snacks here, so the whole building usually has a very specific smell to it—mostly a mix of different spices and cooking oil. It is a large space because we need plenty of room for the machines and the packaging area. Jaliyan Snacks has been operating in this part of town for a while now. The workers here are mostly local guys from the neighborhood who know the daily routine by heart. We try to start very early, usually before the sun gets too high in the sky, so we can get the first few batches done in the cooler hours. There is always a lot of noise coming from the nearby factories, so you have to speak up to be heard. It is a busy atmosphere with trucks constantly backing in and out of the compound to load up the snack crates. We do not spend any time on fancy office decorations because our focus is just on the production floor. Sometimes a machine will act up and we all have to stop what we are doing to figure out a fix. It is very hands-on work.
