Jai Bhawani Glass Works P. Ltd (Victory Tiles)

Our shop is Jai Bhawani Glass Works, though a lot of people know us as Victory Tiles. We are situated in A-5 Ujjaval Apartments, which is right opposite Vijay Restaurant in Navrangpura, Ahmedabad. Navrangpura is a very central part of the city, so it’s always lively. Having the restaurant right across from us is both a blessing and a curse because it’s always tempting to go over for a snack. We have a lot of glass samples and tile displays inside, so the space feels a bit crowded. It’s hard to keep the floor clean with people walking in from the dusty street all day. The apartment building itself is a bit old, but it’s in a great spot for business. We spend a lot of time showing different patterns and glass types to folks who drop in. Ahmedabad gets incredibly hot in the summer, so our old air conditioner has to work extra hard to keep the place bearable. The staff here is small, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept in the back storage. We don’t really do much in terms of advertising; people usually find us because they were already in Navrangpura or eating at Vijay’s. It’s a simple setup and we’ve been part of this neighborhood for many years. We just keep doing what we do, one day at a time, without any big fuss.
