Horsewear (India)

Horsewear (India) is tucked away in Dalel Purwa, which is near the Basmandi area. We are right by the police chowki, at number 89/148-A. If you’ve ever been to this part of Kanpur, you know it’s crowded and the air always smells like leather and work. Our place is usually full of materials and people cutting or stitching things together. It’s a lot of manual work, and my hands are usually a bit rough by the end of the day. The building is old and the stairs are a bit steep. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. We just have our workrooms where we spend most of our hours. It’s noisy outside with the traffic and the shops nearby, but we are used to it by now. Sometimes we have to work late when there’s a lot to get through, and the streetlights outside aren't always working. We don't really use much technology for the actual making part; it’s mostly just skill and using the tools we’ve had for a long time. People around here know us as the place near the chowki. We just focus on getting the horse gear ready and packed up. It’s steady work, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We are just a local business doing what we know.
