Green Art

Green Art is located in the basement of 1 Peoples Plaza. We are right near the Memnagar Fire Station in the Navrangpura area. Since we are in the basement, it stays a little cooler than the street level, which is nice during the summer months. You have to walk down the stairs and turn left to find us. The shop isn't very big, and we have things tucked into every corner. It can feel a bit crowded when we have more than three people inside at once. We’ve got some basic lighting that we installed ourselves to brighten things up. The sound of the fire trucks leaving the station is something we hear almost every day. It’s a busy neighborhood with lots of students and office workers walking by. We don't have any big signs outside, just a small one by the stairs. Most of our days are spent organizing the stock and talking to people who happen to wander in. We usually have a radio playing quietly in the background to keep things from being too silent. It’s a modest little spot, but we like it here. We don't worry about being fancy or looking like a big company. We just do our own thing and hope the work speaks for itself. It’s a bit dusty sometimes being underground, but we keep a broom handy. We are here from ten in the morning until eight at night. Sometimes the neighbors come by to borrow a tool or just to talk about the local news. We like the community.
