Grd Welfare Federation

Grd Welfare Federation is situated at 109, Jai Jinishwar Society in Shahibaug. This is a residential society, so our office is tucked away in a place where people actually live. It gives the whole federation a very neighborly feel. We aren't in a high-rise building with security guards and badges. Instead, you just come into the society and find unit 109. Shahibaug is a well-known area in Ahmedabad, and it has its own rhythm. We see the same people walking their dogs or going to the market every day. Our office is a simple room that we’ve filled with desks and filing cabinets. It can get a bit noisy when the neighborhood is active, but we don't mind. It makes us feel like we are part of the community. We don't use any fancy language or have big meetings with presentations. We just sit around the table and talk about what needs to be done next. The space is a bit cluttered with papers and books, but we know where everything is. It’s a very human way to run a federation. We don't have a big budget for decor, so we just have what we need to get through the day. It’s honest and it’s local. We like being in Jai Jinishwar Society because it keeps us connected to the people around us. It's a humble spot for us.
