Earth Carbon Foundation

Our office is in Ahmedabad, specifically in the Saraswatinagar area. We are located at 68/358, which is an E Type house. It’s right near Azad Society and across from Himmatlal Park 2. It is a nice enough area with some trees, though the dust still gets in everywhere. We aren't a big organization with hundreds of employees. There are just a handful of us who care about the environment and carbon issues. We spend our mornings checking emails and talking about local projects. The building is a bit older, so the walls have some cracks and the doors creak when you open them. We don't mind it much. It feels more like a home than a workplace. We usually have some files piled up on the tables and a few maps pinned to the wall. It’s not about looking professional for us; it’s about getting the work done without making a big fuss. People walk by on their way to the park and sometimes peek in to see what we are doing. We tell them we’re just working on some earth-related stuff. Ahmedabad is getting crowded, and it feels important to keep this little corner of ours focused on nature. We don't have a grand plan that we talk about in meetings. We just take it one day at a time, trying to be useful and keeping our heads down. We just want to do something decent for the world while we are here.
