Chaniyara Foundation

We are located in Dhrol, which is a smaller town in the Jamnagar district. Specifically, you can find Chaniyara Foundation at Shop No. 35 in the Suncity Complex. We are right near the Trikon area, which is pretty central for us. The shop is small, but it is enough for what we need to do. Being in a complex like Suncity means there are always people moving around outside. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. Most of our work involves the local community here in Gujarat. We do not have a big staff. It is usually just one or two people at the shop at any given time. We have a few cupboards for files and a small bench for people to sit. It is quite dusty in the summer, but we keep the fan going. We focus on whatever the local needs are. Since we are in Dhrol, we know the local problems better than someone from a big city would. We do not have any polished speeches. We just talk to the farmers and the shopkeepers nearby. If someone needs something, they know where to find us. Shop 35 is always there. We have been here for a while and plan to stay. It is a practical way to run things. We like being right in the middle of the market area where everything happens.
