Birla International Pvt Ltd is tucked away on the first floor of the New Cloth Market, at number 104. We are just outside the Raipur Gate in the Raipur area. If you’ve ever been to the cloth market, you know it’s a maze of shops and rolls of fabric everywhere. Our office isn't very large, but it's packed with samples and ledgers. We’ve been operating from this market for quite a while now. The building is older, with narrow stairs that can be a bit of a climb if you are carrying heavy bundles. It stays pretty busy from morning until evening with traders and porters moving stuff back and forth. We don't have a lot of modern decor; it's mostly wooden shelves and old desks that have seen better days. We handle a lot of the paperwork side of the textile business here. It’s a loud place because of the market bustle outside, but it feels right for what we do. There is always someone coming in to check on an order or talk about fabric quality. We don't really go for fancy presentations. Usually, we just pull out a chair and have a chat over some tea. It's a very traditional way of working, and we like the community feel of the Raipur market. You get to know everyone's face after a few years. It’s just a small part of a much bigger trade happening every day.
