People usually find us by looking for the Panchkuva Gate first, then they head over to the Vandana Cloth Market. We are on the first floor at number 14. It gets pretty crowded around here during the peak hours, especially with all the carts and people moving bales of cloth back and forth. Our shop is just a regular place where we keep our stock piled up. Some days the stairs feel a bit steep when we are carrying things up and down, but that is just how it is in this part of town. We’ve seen the market change quite a bit over the years, though the noise stays about the same. It is a lot of work keeping track of everything we have on the shelves because there is so much variety. Most of our time goes into unpacking new arrivals and making sure they are stored away properly so we can find them when someone asks. We don't have fancy lights or anything, just enough to see what we are doing. The floor is usually a bit dusty from all the fabric lint, but we try to sweep it when we get a quiet minute. Usually, there is a tea stall nearby that keeps us going through the long afternoons. It’s a busy life being here near the gate, but it keeps us on our toes every single day. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down in the evening.
