Arpitai Foundation

We are located at 26-B Ramnagar, just near the M.G. Motors in the Kanjari area of Halol. It is a pretty easy spot to find if you are driving through this part of town. We set up the Arpitai Foundation here so we could be as close as possible to the people in the local neighborhood. The office is basically just a single room with a couple of mismatched chairs and a wooden table that wobbles a bit if you lean on it too hard. We don’t have any fancy neon signs or big billboards. Most of our work is done face-to-face with people who just walk in off the street because they have a question. Halol is a very busy place with all the factories and the local shops, so there is always some kind of noise or activity happening nearby. We try to stay grounded and focus on the problems that are right in front of us. Some days are very slow and we just sit around and drink tea while we wait for someone to come by. Other days, we are running around like crazy trying to get things sorted for someone who really needs the help. We don’t use a lot of big words or have complicated five-year plans. We just look at what needs to be done today and try to do it. It’s a bit messy sometimes, and our filing system is just a bunch of old folders in a cardboard box.
