Our location in the Bhat GIDC Estate in Gandhinagar is right in the middle of the industrial hub. It’s a different kind of vibe here compared to a city center. You have the sound of trucks and machinery in the distance all day. The building is a plain, functional structure that fits right in with the surrounding warehouses and factories. We deal with a lot of workers from the GIDC estate, so our peak times are usually around the shift changes. The floors are heavy-duty because we get people coming in with work boots. We keep the lobby simple with metal chairs and a big desk for the paperwork. There’s not much for scenery outside, just the road and other industrial plots, but we’ve put a few potted plants by the door to brighten it up. The staff here is used to the heat and the dust that comes with being in an estate. We drink a lot of chai and keep the fans going at full speed. It’s a down-to-earth place where people don't stand on ceremony. We use paper ledgers for some things still because it feels more reliable. It’s a busy, practical environment where we focus on the work at hand. We aren’t trying to be a five-star hotel; we’re just here to provide a service to the people working in Gandhinagar’s industrial zone. It’s a long day, but it feels like we’re part of the local machinery. We make sure the doors are locked tight before we head home.
