This location is a bit of a mix since we have the address listed at Mithakhali 6 Road in Ellisbridge but also mention the plot in Bhat GIDC estate over in Gandhinagar. It covers a lot of ground. Most of the daily work happens out near the industrial estate. It’s a lot of metal buildings and trucks moving around that area. The site itself is practical. We deal with a lot of workers from the nearby factories who come in with various ailments. It’s not the quietest place because of all the industry nearby. You can hear the hum of machinery if you stand outside long enough. Inside, we keep things as tidy as possible. The floors are that hard tile that’s easy to mop down. We have benches for people to wait on. The lighting is a bit bright and clinical, but it helps the doctors see what they are doing. We don’t have much in the way of art on the walls. It’s more about getting the job done. Sometimes the dust from the estate gets in, so we are always cleaning the windows. It’s a straightforward medical facility for a hardworking part of town. The staff knows the local tea stall around the corner pretty well. We spend our shifts moving from one patient to the next. It’s a long day but it feels like we’re doing something useful for the folks out here.
