Angana Hospital

Angana Hospital is tucked away in Usmanpura, right behind the Jain Temple near Ashram Road. It’s actually in Bunglow 3, so it doesn't look like those massive skyscraper hospitals you see in other parts of Ahmedabad. Being near the Usmanpura Cross Roads means it’s always busy outside with traffic and people going to the temple. Inside, we try to keep things a bit more controlled. We handle a lot of different medical cases every day. The doctors and nurses are usually running around, but they always have time to talk to the families waiting in the chairs. It’s a local spot, so we see a lot of the same people from the neighborhood. We’ve got some rooms for patients and a small area for checkups. It’s not a huge place, but we make use of every bit of space we have in the bungalow. Sometimes the waiting room gets a bit full, especially on Monday mornings or during the hot season, but people are patient. Living and working in this part of Ahmedabad means you get used to the noise and the constant movement outside. We just focus on the people who walk through the door needing help. There isn't any fancy corporate talk here, just a bunch of us working to keep the clinic running and making sure the patients are looked after properly. It’s been our daily life for a long time now at this Usmanpura location and we like it.
