Amc Family Centre

You can find us over by Ramnagar Chowk in Sabarmati, right near Pukhraj Hospital. It’s a lively spot with a lot of people moving around the chowk at all hours of the day. The Amc Family Centre is where we spend most of our lives, honestly. We have a few rooms set up for seeing families and kids. It’s not a fancy corporate office with glass walls or anything; it’s more like a place where you’d expect to see a lot of people you know from the neighborhood. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they’re covered with some old charts and notes for now. We have a waiting area with some plastic chairs that are surprisingly sturdy despite being old. In the mornings, we brew some tea and get the files ready for whoever is scheduled to come in. The noise from the Sabarmati streets usually filters in, reminding us how busy the area is outside our door. We deal with a lot of everyday stuff, like regular checkups and minor things that families worry about. There’s a particular way the sun hits the front window in the late afternoon that makes the whole place feel a bit warmer. Most of us have worked here for a long time, so we know how to find everything even if the filing system looks a bit messy to an outsider. It’s a community spot, really. We just show up every morning, do the work, and help out the folks who walk through the door.
