Akshar Hospital

We are located on the first floor of the Sahajanand Complex. If you know where the Akshar Purushottam Mandir is in Shahibaug, we are right across from it. Being near the temple makes it easy for people to give directions to their relatives. The hospital isn't very large, but we use the space we have on the first floor as best as we can. It’s a local place. Most of the people working here live in the surrounding neighborhoods. We see a mix of all sorts of patients throughout the day. Some just need a quick checkup, others are staying for a bit longer. Shahibaug is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming up, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. If you walk into the complex and come up to the first floor, you’ll find us. The lobby is simple, with some chairs and a desk where we handle the paperwork. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get through everything when it’s busy. We try to keep things moving. We’ve been here for a good few years now and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. But the hospital stays pretty much the same. We just show up every morning and help whoever walks through the door. It’s a practical, local operation and that’s about it for our story.
