Aic-Gusec Foundation

Our office is in the Gusec West Wing. It is located near the Department of Botan inside the University School of Sciences. Being part of the Gujarat University campus in Ahmedabad means there are always students walking past our windows. It is a large campus, so sometimes people get a bit lost trying to find us, but we just tell them to look for the science buildings. The Aic-Gusec Foundation operates from this wing, and it is a pretty functional space. We have old trees right outside that give some shade during the hot Ahmedabad afternoons. The building itself has that typical university look, nothing too modern or polished. We spend our days here at our desks, surrounded by books and files. It is usually quiet inside, except for when classes let out and the hallways fill up with chatter. We don't have any flashy signs or big lobbies. It is just a workspace where we get things done. Sometimes we walk over to the university canteen to get lunch or some coffee. Working in an academic environment like this is interesting because you see a lot of different people every day. We just focus on our daily tasks and try to keep up with the work. It is a practical spot for us to be located. The Gujarat U area is always busy with young people and faculty members moving between departments. We fit right in with the academic bustle.
