Aic-Gls Foundation

We are over here at the Gujarat Law Society right across from Law Garden in the Ellisbridge area. Most people in Ahmedabad know this spot because it gets so crowded in the evenings with the street food and the park. We started our work inside the campus to help out folks who are trying to get their own small businesses or projects off the ground. It’s not some fancy glass-walled corporate setup, just a few rooms where people come to sit down, use the internet, and figure out their next steps. Sometimes the air conditioning acts up when it’s really hot outside, but we just open the windows and keep going. We spend a lot of our day talking to students and people from the neighborhood who have a spark of an idea but don't know where to start. It gets pretty noisy when the college classes let out and everyone is heading to the garden, but that’s just the atmosphere here. We don't have a huge team or a PR person. It’s just us making sure the lights are on and there’s enough space for whoever shows up. You will usually find one of us running between the different buildings on the GLS grounds. It can be a bit of a maze if you aren’t used to it, but we’re easy to find once you know the way. We keep things simple and try to be useful to anyone who walks in with a question. We’ve been here for a while now.
