Shiv Handicrafts is based in Kamla Nagar, a part of town that’s always bustling with people. Our workspace is usually full of the raw materials we use, like wood, fabric, or whatever we’re working with that week. It’s definitely not a corporate office; it’s more like a busy workshop where things are constantly being moved around. You can usually find shavings on the floor or the smell of glue and varnish in the air. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy slogans for us. We just spend our hours making things by hand and hoping they turn out how they’re supposed to. Sometimes we get behind on our work because handmade stuff takes as long as it takes, and you can’t really rush the process. The shelves are packed with finished pieces and others that are still halfway done. We’ve got a few old fans that wobble when they’re on high, but they help when it gets stuffy in the back. Customers who come by usually just walk in and look around while we continue working. We’ve been in Kamla Nagar for quite a while now, and we’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic and the busy street life outside. It’s a simple life of making things and selling them to people who stop in and appreciate the effort that goes into it.
