Khan Brothers Handicrafts

We have our workshop and shop over in Jigar Colony. It’s where the Khan brothers work on all the handicrafts. We’ve been doing this for a long time, learning the craft from the older people in our family. It is not a fancy showroom like you might see in a big mall. It’s more of a practical space where we actually make the things we sell. There is usually some sawdust or bits of material on the floor because we are always in the middle of a project. We make various items by hand, so nothing is ever exactly the same as the next piece. That is just how handmade work goes. Jigar Colony is a quiet enough place, and most people around here know us. We don't have a big marketing budget or a website that looks professional. We just rely on the quality of the things we make with our hands. Sometimes people come by just to see how we work. We don’t mind that. It’s good for people to see the effort that goes into a simple wooden bowl or a carved piece. We spend long hours here, sometimes working late into the night if we have a lot of orders to finish. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. We are just local craftsmen trying to keep the tradition going in our own small way.
