We have been operating out of this spot at 44/345-B in Bodla for a good while now. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, just a regular brick structure with a heavy iron gate that sticks sometimes in the rainy season. Inside, the rooms are a bit cramped because we have piles of papers and inventory sitting on the floor. Most mornings, the first one in has to sweep the dust away before the fans start blowing it around. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually keep the back window open to catch whatever breeze comes through. There is a small tea stall just down the road where we get our morning chai, and the guy there knows exactly how we like it. We don't have any fancy reception area or leather chairs. It is mostly just us sitting at old wooden desks, answering the phone and writing down orders in our notebooks. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until it comes back on. We know the neighbors well, especially the mechanic next door who is always making a lot of noise with his tools. It is a busy place but we manage to get things done without making too much of a fuss. We just show up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. That is how it has always been here for us in India.
