Our shop is over at 18/A-54 in Jasoria Enclave. If you know Fatehabad Road, you know it gets quite a bit of traffic. Handicrafts Gallery is tucked away there. We spend our time looking at things people have made by hand. It’s a lot of wood, some fabric, and a bit of metal too. People come in and out, some just looking, others wanting something specific for their house. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us here. We dust the shelves every morning because the road outside brings in a lot of grime. It’s part of the job. We talk to the artisans who bring us their work. Some of them have been doing this for decades. Their hands show the work. We try to keep a good variety on the shelves so there's always something different to see. The lighting in the back isn't the best, but we make it work. Sometimes we sit and have tea while waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a slow pace compared to the big malls. We like it that way. Jasoria Enclave is a decent neighborhood. We’ve been part of the landscape for a bit now. When you work with handicrafts, you learn to appreciate things that aren't perfect. A slight chip or a crooked line just shows a human made it. That’s what we have here.
