R. K. Brass Products

Our workshop is at 58 Digvijay Plot in Jamnagar. We are right opposite the Katchi Mahajan Wadi, which is a pretty well-known landmark around here. Jamnagar is a hub for brass work, and we have been part of that for a good while. Inside our place, it is mostly the sound of metal being turned and polished. There are shavings on the floor and the smell of oil is everywhere. We make all sorts of brass items, mostly small parts that go into bigger machines or plumbing. It is a dusty kind of job, and your hands usually end up stained by the end of the shift. We have the lathes set up in a row, and the guys spend most of their time hunched over them. It is not a big factory, just a local shop in a busy part of town. Sometimes people stop by just because they saw the sign while walking to the Wadi. We keep a few samples out front, but most of the work is packed in boxes ready for transport. The weather in Jamnagar gets really dry, which makes the workshop even hotter. We just drink plenty of water and keep the fans going as best as we can. It is a simple life, making things out of metal and making sure they look decent before they leave the door. That is how we spend our days.
