Span Engineers

Span Engineers is tucked away in the General Block at Bg/sei/5/p/1, which is right near the Pawana Industrial Complex in Bhosari, Pune. It is a very industrial part of the city, so there is always the sound of trucks moving and metal being worked on nearby. Our shop is a practical space where we handle all sorts of engineering tasks. The floor is concrete and usually has some oil spots here and there from the machines. We have been in this spot for a while, and we know most of the other workshop owners in the MIDC area. It is the kind of place where your hands are always a bit dirty from handling steel and tools. We do not have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room with magazines. If someone needs to talk to us, they usually just walk right into the workshop and find us near the lathes. The air is often thick with the smell of cutting oil and the sound of drills. We have a small corner with a table where we look at drawings and eat our lunch. In the afternoons, the sun hits the metal roof and it can get quite warm inside, but we just keep the big doors open to catch whatever breeze there is. It is honest work and we stay busy with the local projects that come our way. We just take it one job at a time and try to get things done right.
