Shox Footwear

We opened up this shop in Nangloi at Ashok Mohalla quite some time ago. We are located at Plot No. 2/3. Selling shoes is what we do every day from morning until we close up at night. The area gets pretty crowded, so there is always someone coming in to look at what’s on the shelves. We keep all kinds of stuff, from basic slippers to things you’d wear if you were going out somewhere nice. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us behind the counter. The boxes get stacked pretty high sometimes and it can be a bit of a squeeze when the delivery truck comes. We don’t really do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people just walk in because they live nearby or they’re passing through the mohalla. It’s important to have something comfortable on your feet, especially with the roads around here. We try to keep a good variety so everyone finds something that fits. Sometimes we run out of a specific size and have to wait for the next batch, but that’s just how retail goes. It’s a lot of standing around and talking to customers about what they like. The floor gets dusty with all the foot traffic, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. It's a decent living and we like being part of the local market here in Nangloi. It keeps us busy and connected to the people.
