Our place is over at J-1 in Udyog Vihar, right near Peeragarhi Chowk. If you know that area, you know how the traffic can get. We spend a lot of our mornings just trying to get through the congestion to reach the factory. Once we're inside, it's all about the footwear. We've got rows of machines and people working on different parts of the shoes. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the material lying around. We’ve been here for years, and the walls show it. There's nothing polished about our setup, just a regular workplace where we get things done. We have a small tea stall just outside where most of us gather for a break. The chai there is better than what we make inside. We aren't trying to be something we're not. We just make the footwear, check it, and send it out. Some days are stressful when a machine breaks down or the power goes out, which happens more than we'd like. But we just deal with it. The guys on the floor have been with us for a long time, so we’ve become a bit of a community. It's loud, it's busy, and there is always a smell of glue and rubber in the air. That’s just how it is here in the industrial area near the chowk.
