Satra International

Satra International is based at D 44 in Tagore Garden, right in the Shivaji Market area. We are directly opposite the Central School, so we see the kids coming and going every day. The market is a busy place to be, and our office is right in the thick of it. We deal with international trade, which sounds fancy, but mostly it just involves a lot of boxes, phone calls, and paperwork. The space isn't very large, so we often have stacks of files or samples sitting on the chairs. We don't have a big corporate feel here; it’s just a few of us trying to keep everything organized. Sometimes the market gets so loud that it’s hard to hear on the phone, but that is just life in Shivaji Market. We have been in this spot for a while and the locals know us. We don't spend money on big signs or anything like that. Most people find us because they were told where to look. It’s an honest way to work, dealing with people directly and making sure the shipments are moving like they should. We take our breaks when we can and try to stay on top of the mess that accumulates during the week. Tagore Garden is a decent place to work, even if parking is a nightmare. We just focus on the daily tasks and try to make sure nothing gets lost in the shuffle of boxes and papers.
