Our workshop is located at D-3 in Udyog Nagar, right off the main Rohtak Road. If you have ever traveled down that way, you know how congested the traffic gets with all the factories and trucks nearby. At Footwear Klick, we spend our time making different kinds of shoes. This job involves a lot of glue, stitching, and cutting through various materials. The smell of the adhesive is very strong, so we try to keep the big fans running as much as we can. It is a busy place where everyone has their own specific task to handle. One person works on the soles, another does the fine stitching, and someone else is responsible for packing everything into boxes. We are not some huge company with glass offices; we are just a group of people working inside an industrial shed. The floors are made of concrete and the lighting is just enough to get the job done. Some of our machines have been with us for a long time, and they still work fine if you know how to handle them. We mostly just keep to ourselves and focus on meeting our production numbers for the day. Sometimes we run out of a certain material and have to scramble to find more. It is just the regular daily grind of the shoe business. We take pride in showing up and doing the work without any fuss.
