Aroma Footwear

Down in Mundka, specifically at Plot No. 221 in Swaran Park, that’s where you’ll find Aroma Footwear. It stays pretty loud in this part of Udyog Nagar. Between the traffic on the main road and the machines running, there isn't much silence. We spend most of our time around the smell of glue and the sound of the stitching machines. It’s hard work, and your hands get dirty by lunch. We make all sorts of footwear here, and the floor is usually covered in offcuts of rubber or fabric. It’s a messy process, but that’s just how shoes get made. We don’t have a fancy showroom. Everything is packed into boxes and stacked high against the walls. Sometimes it’s hard to find a path through the warehouse when a big shipment comes in. The guys working the line know their jobs well. We’ve had some of the same people for years. We usually take a break when the heat gets too much in the middle of the day. Mundka is a busy place, and being in Swaran Park means there’s always something happening next door. We just stick to our plot and keep the production moving. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we know. The machinery is old but it works fine for what we need to get the shoes out. We just keep going.
