Ramlakshay Impex

Our place is at Wz-20 in Chunnamal Park, over in East Punjabi Bagh. It’s more of a residential-feeling area compared to the big industrial zones, but we make it work. Ramlakshay Impex is the name we use for our trading business. We handle a lot of different items coming in and going out. The office is basically just a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets. It’s not a showroom or anything fancy like that. Most of our day is spent dealing with logistics and making sure the paperwork for the shipments is in order. My brother and I started this because we wanted to work for ourselves. It hasn't always been easy, especially when the regulations change or the shipping costs go up. We usually have a pot of tea going and some snacks on the table for whoever drops by. The walls are a bit bare, and the carpet has seen better days, but it’s a functional space. We don’t have a big staff, so we end up doing everything ourselves, from answering the phone to checking the inventory. It’s a lot of long hours sometimes, but it’s ours. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to handle our business properly and keep our clients happy with the items we provide. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and we’re used to the rhythm of it now. Every day brings something a little bit different.
