Operating out of West Patel Nagar in New Delhi is always an experience because of how busy this part of the city is. Joneja Steels & Bright Pvt.Ltd is tucked into 12/5, and if you’ve ever been to the 110008 area, you know how the traffic can be in the afternoons. Our office isn't some glass tower; it’s a practical space where we handle the steel business stuff. There’s a lot of noise from the main road, but inside we just focus on the orders and the logs. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, and the ceiling fan makes a bit of a clicking sound when it’s on high, but it keeps us cool enough during those Delhi summers. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at inventory sheets. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how each other likes their tea. It’s not a corporate vibe at all. It’s more about just getting the work done and making sure the trucks are headed to the right place. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. That’s just life in Patel Nagar. We don’t have a big fancy lobby, just a small entrance where people come in. It’s a honest day's work for us here, keeping the steel business moving along as best we can.
