Chawla Steel

Our yard is located in Mundka, specifically at Swarn Park, D 5/1. If you know this part of Delhi, you know it is a hub for industrial stuff and heavy materials. We handle steel here, so the place is mostly filled with stacks of metal rods, sheets, and pipes. It is a very industrial atmosphere with the sound of trucks coming and going and the clanging of metal being moved around. We don't have a fancy office; it’s mostly just a small room where we keep the scales and the records. The dust in Mundka is something you just have to live with when you work in the steel trade. We spend most of our time outside in the yard, checking the inventory and helping load the vehicles. It is physically demanding work and your hands are usually dirty by the end of the day. We have been at this Swarn Park location for a long time, and we know most of the other businesses around here. People come to us when they need steel for construction or for making parts. We don't do any big marketing or anything; word usually gets around among the local builders and contractors. It is a simple, honest business. We open up early, deal with the deliveries, and make sure the stock is where it needs to be. It’s hard work, but it is what we know how to do best. I guess that is why we stay here.
