Corus India Limited is based in New Delhi, specifically at 52, Promise Apartment in Vikas Puri. Being located in an apartment building in the 110018 area gives us a very local perspective. We aren’t tucked away in some corporate park where you never see a regular person. Instead, we are right in the middle of a residential block. It makes the work feel more connected to the real world. Our daily routine involves managing the industrial aspects of the Corus business, which means a lot of time on the phone and even more time looking at spreadsheets. The office is simple and a bit cluttered, which is usually a sign that we’ve been busy. We don’t have a mission statement or any promotional speeches prepared. We just think that if you do the work properly, that is enough. Vikas Puri is a lively part of Delhi, and we enjoy the energy of the neighborhood. The team is small, so we all know each other well and we don't have to deal with a lot of corporate bureaucracy. We just decide what needs to be done and we do it. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s steady and it keeps us busy. We don't see the need for a lot of fancy words to describe a simple operation. We are just a group of people in an apartment office doing our jobs.
