Gora Mal Hari Ram Ltd.

Our place is at number 39 on Najafgarh Road, right in the thick of the industrial area near Rama Road. It’s a very old part of the city for businesses like ours. The building has been around for a long time, and you can see it in the bricks and the old wooden doors. We have a lot of space, which is lucky, because we have a lot of things to store. Most of the day is spent managing the stock and talking to the drivers who come in from all over. The intersection outside is always jammed with rickshaws and lorries, so there's a lot of honking that we hear all day long. Gora Mal Hari Ram Ltd. is run by a small group of us who have been doing this for a long time. We don't use much fancy technology; we still rely on a lot of paper ledgers and hand-written notes. It might seem a bit behind the times, but it works for us and we haven't seen a reason to change it. The lights in the back of the warehouse are a bit dim, so we have to use torches sometimes to find what we’re looking for. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the crates stacked up high. We don't have a website that we update or any marketing people. We just stay here, do our business, and keep things moving. It's a simple way to work.
