Darshan Steel World

Darshan Steel World is based in Mayapuri, Phase-II, at the D-123 address. If you’ve ever been to Mayapuri, you know it’s basically the heart of the metal and scrap trade in Delhi. It is loud, it’s busy, and it can be a bit overwhelming with all the narrow lanes and heavy vehicles everywhere. Our spot is right in the middle of that action. We deal with steel all day long, so the place is mostly filled with stacks of metal and heavy equipment. It’s definitely not a clean, air-conditioned office environment. It’s more of a warehouse feel where we are constantly moving things around to make space. The walls are a bit scuffed and the floor is concrete, but it serves its purpose. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just handle the steel. Most of our interactions happen right on the floor or in the small cabin we have tucked in the corner. You’ll usually hear the sound of metal clanging together from the neighbors while we work. It’s a bit of a rough-and-ready kind of place, but that’s just the nature of the business in Phase-II. We stay pretty busy from Monday to Saturday, just trying to keep up with the work. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we’ve been at D-123 for long enough that we feel like part of the furniture here.
