Out here in Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase I, things are always moving. We are located at Phase I B 22, and it’s a typical industrial spot. Baldev Metals Pvt Ltd is where we process and handle metals for various industrial uses. The sounds of heavy machinery and trucks are pretty much all you hear around here during the day. Inside our unit, we have different sections for different tasks. It gets quite hot in the summer because of the metal and the machines, but we’re used to that by now. We have a small crew of workers who have been with us for years. They know the rhythm of the place. We don't spend much time on paperwork unless we absolutely have to; we'd rather be on the floor seeing how the work is going. The floor is concrete and usually covered in bits of scrap or oil, which is normal for an industrial area like Mayapuri. We get deliveries coming in at odd hours, so someone usually has to stay late to make sure the gates are open. It is a tough environment but it feels right to us. We just keep our equipment running and try to finish our orders on time. There isn't any corporate talk here, just plain work. We focus on the metal and making sure the dimensions are what they were supposed to be. It’s a lot of hard work but we’re proud of what we do here.
