Amar Udhyog

Being located in Mayapuri Phase-I means you are always surrounded by the sounds of metal and heavy engines. Our workshop at B-60 is right in the middle of all that activity. Amar Udhyog has been part of this industrial landscape for years now. It is not the cleanest part of Delhi, but it is definitely a place where things get done. We spend our days handling whatever work comes through the door. The floor is usually covered in some kind of dust or metal shavings, and there is always a machine humming in the background. It is a place where we wear heavy boots and don’t really worry about getting grease on our clothes. The guys come in early to beat the worst of the traffic, though the roads around here are almost always a mess. We do not do much in the way of fancy meetings. Usually, we just stand around the machines and figure out the tasks for the day. The building itself is an older style with high ceilings and big doors that stay open most of the time to let the air in. When the heavy rain comes, it gets incredibly loud on the tin roof. We just keep our heads down and work through the orders as they come. It is a very practical environment. We know most of the other shop owners on the block and occasionally swap tools. We are just here doing our bit.
