Veerachary Carpenter Works

If you head over to Kommulavancha in the Narsimhulapeta area of Warangal, you will find Veerachary Carpenter Works. We are at H. No -C-65. The first thing you will notice when you walk up is the smell of fresh wood and the sound of a saw. Our workshop is basically a large open space attached to the house. There are wood shavings all over the floor, and we gave up on keeping it perfectly clean a long time ago. We have different types of wood stacked against the walls, waiting to be turned into something useful. Most of our tools are manual, though we have a few old machines that make a lot of noise. We spend our days measuring, cutting, and sanding down surfaces until they are smooth enough. It’s physical work that leaves your hands rough and your clothes covered in fine dust. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People usually hear about us from their relatives or friends. We make a lot of doors, window frames, and simple furniture for the homes nearby. It’s satisfying to see a piece of wood turn into something solid. Sometimes we work late into the night when a big order needs to be finished. The light from our shop is often the only one on in this part of the village. It’s just honest labor that we’ve been doing for years.
