Upendra Chari Carpenter Works

My name is Upendra and I handle the carpenter works here in Guduru. We are located right at house number 1-40 in Seethanagar. It is a quiet spot mostly, but you can usually hear the sound of the saw or the hammer going if you walk by during the day. I have been doing this for a long time now. People around Warangal know where to find me if they need a door fixed or some cabinets made for their kitchen. The shop is just a part of the house really. It gets quite dusty with all the wood shavings everywhere, but that is just how it goes when you work with your hands. Sometimes the wood arrives late or the weather in Seethanagar gets too hot to work in the afternoon, so we take a break. I try to get things done as they come in. There is no big office or anything like that, just me and the tools and the wood we have piled up. Most people just stop by the house and talk to me about what they need. It is easier that way than talking over the phone. I like the smell of fresh cut timber, even if it gets in my clothes and hair every day. We stay busy with small jobs from neighbors and sometimes bigger things for people further out in Warangal. It is steady work and it keeps us going here in the village.
