Shiva Shakthi Granite

Shiva Shakthi Granite is located at Sh.No.23 on the Karimabad Road in the Shanthinagar area. We are right there on the side of the road, so you can see the granite slabs leaning against the walls from outside. It’s a small shop and we have to be smart about how we use the space. Most of our day is spent moving pieces around so people can look at them properly. The traffic on the road is constant and the noise of the bikes and cars never really stops. We get a lot of people just walking in to ask questions about the stone. It’s a lot of physical effort to lift and shift these things, and my boots are always wearing out from the rough floors. We keep a bucket of water handy to splash on the granite so the colors show up better. It isn't a glamorous job at all. We are just local people doing local work. Sometimes we sit out front when things are slow and watch the street. The Shanthinagar area has grown a lot since we first started here. We just try to keep the shop organized and handle the slabs with care so nothing breaks. It is a basic routine of opening up, cleaning the yard, and dealing with the stone.
