Jai Granites

We run Jai Granites over in Uppugal Village, which falls under the Zaffergadh Mandal. Our yard is at Survey Number 843. It’s a pretty open spot where we keep the big slabs of granite laid out. Moving these stones is no joke because of how much they weigh, so we have to be careful with the cranes and the trucks. The village is a bit out of the way, which is fine for us because we need the space. You won't find any shiny showrooms here; it's mostly just raw stone and the tools we use to cut and polish it. Water is used a lot in our process to keep the dust down and the blades cool, so the floor is usually wet and a bit slippery. We wear heavy boots all day and stay busy with the orders that come in from the surrounding towns. Sometimes we get pieces of stone that have natural cracks or flaws, and we have to figure out how to work around them. It's a bit like a puzzle sometimes. We've been at this location for a good while and the people in Zaffergadh know us well enough. We don't spend much time on the phone unless it's to talk to a driver or a supplier. Most of our day is spent outdoors, rain or shine, making sure the stone looks the way it’s supposed to before it leaves the yard.
