Lumbini Granite

Down at Plot No. 191 in Madikonta, you will find our place, Lumbini Granite. It is not a very big operation, just a regular yard where we keep our stock. We have been here for a good bit of time now. The lot is usually filled with different blocks of stone that we get in from various places. It is mostly me and a couple of workers who handle everything. We spend the day checking the inventory and making sure the slabs are stored safely so they don't chip. Madikonta is a quiet enough area but we stay busy with the local builders coming in. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late or the power goes out, which messes up our schedule, but we deal with it as it comes. We don't do much advertising; mostly people just find us by driving past or hearing about us from a neighbor. The stone we have changes depending on what is available at the quarries. Some days are slow and we just sit in the small office, drink tea, and wait for someone to pull in. Other days it is non-stop lifting and shifting. It is hard work on the back, especially in the summer heat. We just try to keep things organized so we can find what a customer needs without moving ten other slabs out of the way first. That is our daily life here.
