Down at 11-9-44 in Arempula, you'll find our shop, Kumar Steels. Warangal is a growing place, and we’ve seen a lot of new construction going up around us lately. We supply the basic steel components that go into these buildings. It’s nothing glamorous. Most days involve checking invoices and making sure the delivery truck is loaded correctly so nothing falls off on the way to a site. The building we work in is a bit drafty, but it’s large enough to hold all the inventory we need. We started out small and haven't changed the way we do things much since the beginning. We talk to the contractors and the builders every day, and we've gotten to know what they expect from us. Sometimes they’re in a hurry and we have to move fast. Other times, things are slower and we can catch up on maintenance around the yard. We don't use any fancy software for our accounts, just some ledgers and a basic computer setup that’s seen better days. It works for us. We’re not trying to impress anyone with a polished image. We just want to make sure the steel we sell is what the customer ordered. If there's a mistake, we fix it and move on. That’s how we’ve always handled things here in Arempula. It’s a living, and it keeps us involved in the community.
