Walter Community College

We are located over at the Bridge of Hope in Gotlam, right here in the Vizianagaram area of Andhra Pradesh. It’s a quiet enough spot compared to the big cities, but there is always plenty to do at Walter Community College. We started this place to give people nearby a chance to learn some skills without having to travel too far away from their families. The campus isn't huge, but it's ours and we take care of it as best we can. You’ll see a lot of folks from the surrounding villages coming in for classes. We don't have a lot of big corporate rules or fancy titles. Most of us just go by our first names. The classrooms are basic but they stay cool enough when the sun is beating down outside. We spend our time teaching things that people can actually use to find a job or start something of their own. Sometimes we sit outside under the trees to talk because it’s nicer than being indoors. It’s a practical kind of place. We don't promise anyone that they will become millionaires overnight, but we do our best to help them move forward. The road out here can be a bit bumpy, and things don't always run on a perfect schedule, but we get there in the end. It’s just a group of people helping each other out in a small corner of the world. We've been here for years now and the community knows us well.
