Sri Suryodaya Junior College

Our college, Sri Suryodaya Junior College, is located on Rajaveedhi in Pusapatirega, which is part of the Vizianagaram district. It is a junior college, so we mostly see teenagers who are finishing up their last two years of school before they head off to a university. The area around Rajaveedhi is fairly standard for this part of Andhra Pradesh. We have a decent building where the students sit for their groups, whether they are taking MPC or BiPC or other subjects. The fans hum in the background while the lecturers talk about chemistry or math. It is a practical kind of place. We don't have much in the way of decoration on the walls, just the usual notices and maybe a calendar. The students come from Pusapatirega and some of the smaller villages nearby. Some of them travel quite a distance every morning. We have a small courtyard where they stand and talk during the lunch break. It is usually quite dusty around here, especially when the wind picks up. We don't do any fancy marketing; usually, the younger siblings of old students just end up coming here too. The staff keeps track of the attendance and the marks without much drama. It is just a regular spot for learning where the main goal is to help these kids get through their exams so they can move on to whatever is next in their lives.
