Vagdevi School

Our school is right there on the 80 Feet Road in Akkayyapalem. If you know Visakhapatnam, you know how busy that road can get, especially near Door No 49-45-10. We’ve been operating out of this building for a while now. It’s a practical setup, nothing too fancy or over the top. The classrooms are just the right size for the groups we have, and we try to keep things organized even when it gets a bit hectic. You can hear the city noise from the upper floors, but the kids seem used to it. The staff room is always a bit full of papers and half-finished cups of tea. We spend a lot of time just talking to parents who stop by after work to check on things. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so we see a lot of the same faces every day. We don’t use any complicated systems for the daily chores; we just write things down and get them done as they come up. Sometimes the gate needs a bit of oil because it squeaks, and the stairs have been worn down a bit by all the walking up and down. It’s a very local feel here. We don’t have a massive campus with fields, but we make use of every corner we have. Most of us live nearby, so the commute isn't too bad unless the traffic on the main road is really backed up.
