You can find us in Chaitanya Nagar, which is tucked away in the Auto Nagar area of Visakhapatnam. It’s an interesting place to be because of all the activity around us. There are workshops and businesses nearby, so it’s not the quietest spot in town. Our school is a few stories high, and we use every bit of space we have. The stairs are narrow, and you have to watch your step when the kids are rushing down for lunch. We have a lot of charts pinned up on the walls, mostly made by the students themselves. They’re a bit crooked sometimes, but we leave them up anyway. The staff room is where we all gather to drink coffee and talk about the day’s lessons. It’s usually a bit disorganized with stacks of paper everywhere. In the summer, the heat in Visakhapatnam can be pretty intense, so we make sure the water coolers are always full. We don’t have a big fancy lobby. You just walk in through the main door and you’re right in the thick of it. The sound of the city is always there in the background, but we’re used to it. We just focus on what’s happening inside our classrooms. It’s a local school for local people. We don't put on a show for anyone; we just open the doors and get to work every morning.
