St.Francis School

St. Francis School is located in Mithilapuri, Madhavadara, right here in Visakhapatnam. We’ve been around for a good number of years now. The school is built on a bit of a slope, so there are some concrete steps you have to climb to get up to the main entrance. It’s a solid building that was built to last a long time. We have many classrooms and they are usually quite full of students. The noise level can get pretty high during the short breaks, but that’s just normal for any school with kids. We have a small garden area that some of the older kids help the gardener look after. It has some hibiscus and colorful crotons growing in it. We follow the standard board exams and curriculum. Our teachers have been working here for a long time, and some have been with us for over twenty years. They know the siblings and even the parents of our current students because they taught them many years ago too. We have a small lab for basic science experiments, though the equipment is quite old now. In the summer, the breeze from the sea helps a bit with the heat, but it’s still quite humid inside the rooms. We have a big water tank on the roof to make sure we don't run out. We don't do a lot of fancy events, just the usual national holiday celebrations. We are just a local school in Vizag.
